Karachi: Well-known US-based Pakistani business tycoon Ali Shekhani has announced his intention to buy K-Electric.
In a video statement that appeared on social media, businessman Ali Shekhani said: “For the last four days, my marketing team and I have been tagged to buy K-Electric.”
Expressing his intention to buy K-Electric, Shekhani said: “I want to know where the tender will be given. Who are the responsible people? We are ready to buy K-Electric without bribing anyone.”
The business tycoon lamented prolonged load shedding as Karachi is experiencing an unprecedented rise in fatalities, data shared by relief agency, amidst ongoing extreme weather conditions.
In his video message, Shekhani emphasized that the citizens of Karachi should not be burdened. “People living in small houses do not even have a salary of 40,000 rupees, and the electricity bill comes to 120,000 rupees,” he lamented.
Sheikhani clarified his motive for buying K-Electric was to serve Karachi’s people rather than seeking financial gain from it.
He said that he would try his best to relieve the citizens of Karachi from this torment.People are now thanking Mr Sheikhani for his gesture.
For the unversed, the business is chairman of Sheikhani Group that focuses on rapid expansion across various sectors including retail, gas stations, shopping complexes, construction, and food chains.
