Alizeh Shah, who gained recognition for her performance “Ehd e Wafa,” has announced to good bye from social media.
Shah has deleted all her posts on Instagram, edited her bio to say ‘Not Dead,’ unfollowed everyone and put up one post saying that she has quit the platform, calling it ‘worse than hell’.
The rising star recently opened up about her struggles with online criticism, stating that while she projects confidence, she has been “experiencing a lot beneath the surface.” In earlier comments, Shah stood firm against her detractors, insisting she has “never engaged in any unethical behaviour to get roles,” even as she continues to endure significant backlash.
Reactions to Shah’s statements have been mixed. While some supporters rally behind her, a number of critics have branded her an “attention seeker.” One commenter pointedly remarked, “If you’re sharing your life online, you should be ready to handle the feedback that comes with it.”
The actress has yet to clarify if her break from social media is a temporary measure or a permanent decision, and she hasn’t revealed any intentions to take a step back from her acting profession.
