Islamabad: The Supreme Court of Pakistan (SC) on Wednesday rejected the federal government’s fact finding committee in the Faizabad sit-in case.
Chief Justice Justice Qazi Faez Isa remarked that we wanted to know who was mastermind of the Faizabad sit-in.
The CJ reprimanded existing Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) chairman.
Former chief of PEMRA Absar Alam also appeared before the court. He apprised the court that he was removed from his post immediately after the faizabad sit-in through one single petiton of the Lahore High Court (LHC).
To which CJ said that we should avoid verbal words instead show us that verdict as we can’t take suo motto on your matter.
Justice Qazi Faez Isa asked Absar Alam that the allegation you hurled yesterday on the person will you repeat your statement in a inquiry commission?
Absar Alam reciting Kalma said that he will do so.
