Web Desk: The 24th death anniversary of legendary pop singer Nazia Hassan is being observed today.
Born in 1965 in Karachi, late singer Nazia Hassan began her career in the 1970s.
Nazia Hassan started her music career at the age of ten as a child star.
Her famous songs include, “Teri Meri Aisi Dosti and Taali dey thallay, disco dewanay, paisay bara ya pyar,
Nazia provided the lead vocals for the song Aap Jaisa Koi from the 1980 film Qurbani which earned her a lot of praise.
She received many national and international awards, including Pride of Performance from the government of Pakistan.
In 1981, Nazia won a Filmfare Award for Best Female Playback for Aap Jaisa Koi.
Her albums including Disco Deewane, Young Tarang, Hotline and Sang Sang were immensely loved by her fans.
Nazia Hassan died of lungs cancer at the age of 35 on this day in 2000.
