Islamabad (November 21, 2017): The election commission of Pakistan has drafted the procedure of new delimitation of constituencies, however a committee will be formed to draft proposals for delimitation in provinces.
According to details a seat of national assembly will be comprises of population of seven hundred thousand.
Sources said that election commission will form committee regarding delimitation in provinces. Committee will be comprises of three officials of election commission and responsible to draft proposal in this connection. Sources also told that separate committee will be set up for the Federally Administrative Tribal Areas (FATA) and Islamabad.
After the formation of committees EC will collect recently held census data, maps, statistic circles and blocks from statistical bureau. Committees will submit their drafted proposals to commission and if there will any shortcoming EC will returned them to concern committee which will against submit it to EC after removing the flaws.
After draft proposals EC will publish initial list of new delimitation and the objection over the delimitation cane be raised with in thirty days of their release. EC will decide the objection cases within the set period and later EC will issue final list of delimitation.
