GILGIT BALTISTAN: Gilgit Baltistan Chief Minister Haji Gulbar Khan on Sunday demanded that the region should be given its due share under the National Finance Commission (NFC) Award.
He made these remarks at a presser where he said the region should be allocated share in the NFC Award.
CM also demanded financial agreements with the area as reached with Azad Kashmir. “Gilgit Baltistan will not be required subsidy if the region is given a due share in the NFC scheme,” he said.
Khan said the region would receive around Rs250 billion if given funds as part of the NFC formula.
He said legislation would also be introduced for land reforms in the region before adding 80 percent tax target has been achieved.
