Lahore: Leader of Jamat-e-Islami and former member of national and provincial assembly Hafiz Salman Butt laid to rest in Lahore.
Nayib Ameer Jamat-e-Islami Hafiz Muhammad Idress led the funeral prayers of Hafiz Salman Butt in Mansoora Lahore.
Leaders of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), actor Sohail Ahmed Azizi, Liaqut Baloch, Ameer-ul Azeem, Zikar Ullah Mujahid, Ahmed Suleman Baloch, Dr. Fareed Ahmed Paracha, Qaisar Shareef including hundreads of JI activists and citizens participate in his funeral.
Hafiz Salman Butt, who became MNA twice and MPA once on a ticket of JI, had died of heart attack yesterday in Lahore in the age of 65 years.
Hafiz Salman Butt remained member of the JI majlis-e-Shura, central secretary general of Shabab Milli Pakistan, central secretary general of National Labour Federation and he also remained President of Prem Railway union President for long time.
Ameer-e-Jamat Islami Siraj Ul Haq on his death said that Hafiz Salman will be remembered as a true soldier of Islam and Pakistan.
