Karachi: A consumer protection court South has imposed fine of Rs half million and seventy five thousands to Qatar Airways over a complain of petitioner Ubaid.
Judicial magistrate South, Mukesh Kumar announced the verdict on the petition of citizen Ubaid Qureshi. The Citizen had registered complaint on December 2020 in which he apprised the court” I have reach London on October 7 and my return was due on November 3 while the Qatar Airways cancelled my returned ticket while me was given a new ticket after 23 hours and I faced immense difficulty while i spent 600 euro additional and I had to book the hotel again and which costed me double expenditure.”
The airline viewed that due to the coronavirus ticket was cancelled adding that travel agent supposed to inform passenger about the ticket while we had informed the travel agent about the ticket cancellation.
