KSA govt lift the ban over offering prayer in Rayadh al – Jannah

RIYADH: The restriction on offering  prayers in Riyadh al-Jannah at the Prophet’s Mosque (Masjid al-Nabawi ﷺ), which allowed them only once a year, has been lifted.

According to the Haramain Sharifain Administration, the condition of obtaining a permit via the Nusk mobile app will still remain in place. The administration stated that pilgrims can obtain a new permit every 20 minutes through the Nusk app.

The administration further clarified that even visitors already present in Masjid al-Nabawi ﷺ can use the app to secure their permit to offer nafl prayers in Riyadh al-Jannah.

It is noteworthy that the restriction for offering nafl prayers in Riyadh al-Jannah once a year was imposed last year. A statement issued by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah of Saudi Arabia explained that the permit for entering Riyadh al-Jannah would only be issued once every 365 days. This restriction applied not only to foreign residents with Iqama (residence permits) but also to local Saudi citizens.

The lifting of this restriction now allows more flexible access for pilgrims wishing to perform additional acts of worship in this sacred area of Masjid al-Nabawi ﷺ.
