KARACHI: An accident involving six cars took place on Shahrah-e-Faisal Wednesday evening.
The collision occurred near Ferozabad Cut on the city’s main thoroughfare, with vehicles hitting each other at high speed. The incident was triggered when the lead car suddenly braked, causing subsequent vehicles to rear-end one another in quick succession.
The crash resulted in extensive damage to all six vehicles, leading to a financial loss estimated in hundreds of thousands of rupees for the owners. The mishap also triggered a significant traffic congestion during peak hours, disrupting flow for many commuters.
Traffic authorities quickly responded by removing the damaged vehicles from the roadway, helping to ease the congestion and restore normal traffic movement.
Among the vehicles involved, two had government-issued number plates, while the remaining four were privately owned. Fortunately, no injuries were reported from the incident. A video capturing the aftermath of the collision has also surfaced online.
