London: Pakistan singer Mesha Shafi has won a first phase of defamation suit in London High Court against a private NV TV, who broadcasts Pakistani channel Ary content in the UK.
Daughter of acclaimed Pakistan actress Saba Hameed, Mesha Shafi had started the court proceedings of a defamation suit two years ago in the UK against the NV tv.
The NV TV had hurled accusation three years ago on the singer Mesha Shafi that she didn’t take a Pakistani session court orders and defamation case against her by actor and singer Ali Zafar seriously.

Simply the tv channel had declared that Mesha Shafi derespected the Pakistani court system.
According to the tv channel she during the case visited Canada many times even she recorded songs for the coke studio. But she didn’t heed to any order of the case.
The matter had come to surface when five years ago when internationally #metoo movement was started and at that time Mesha Shafi had alleged Ali Zafar of sexual harassment which he always denied.
