Lahore: Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Javed Iqbal has said that the anti corruption body recovered many hundred billion rupees, such a large scale recovery never happened by any institution in the past.
The Chairman NAB on Wednesday visited Lahore chapter of the graft-buster body. At the occasion, the Chairman NAB said that people criticised the body that it takes action against businessmen.
He said that the NAB always protected the interests of the businessman while his institution always take care of every one self respect.
Javed Iqbal said that the NAB recovered a huge sum of 2.5 billion rupees in the shortest period of two years and distributed among the affectees.
He said that a plea bargain is not a law enacted by the NAB but it is law formed by the government.
Combined Investigations Team in the Chair of Director General (DG) NAB Lahore also briefed a detailed briefing to the Chairman NAB.
