KURRAM: In anticipation of a potential operation against terrorists in various areas of Lower Kurram, camps for internally displaced persons (IDPs) have been set up.
The Deputy Commissioner has issued a notification for the establishment of IDP camps in Tal and Hangu for the affected people.
The notification states that camps will be set up at the Tal Degree College, Technical College, Rescue Center, and Court Building.
According to the district administration, a letter has been sent to the provincial relief department for the establishment of the IDP camps.
The district administration stated that the camps are being set up to protect the population during the operation, and a committee has been formed under the supervision of the Additional Deputy Commissioner.
It is worth noting that yesterday, a convoy of vehicles carrying food supplies in the Bagan area of Lower Kurram was attacked, resulting in the martyrdom of two personnel. Today, the bodies of six individuals, including five drivers, were found in Urawali.
