Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif will announce a package for overseas Pakistanis today aiming to address key concerns raised by the diaspora, with proposals submitted by expatriates set to be implemented.
This was informed by Chairman Overseas Pakistanis Foundation Syed Qamar Raza while speaking at the Overseas Pakistanis Convention being held in Islamabad.
Syed Qamar Raza said the Prime Minister understands the importance of the overseas community and values their contributions.
On the third day of the convention, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Syed Asim Munir, federal ministers and other high officials are attending the event.
The PM and Army Chief will address the convention today.
A 14-point agenda addressing major observations of overseas Pakistanis has already been prepared. A high-level committee, led by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, has been tasked with working on these issues.
