PM discuses national security issues with Nawaz Sharif in wake of Pak-India escalation

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Pakistan Muslim League–Nawaz (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif on Sunday exchanged views on the ongoing tensions between Pakistan and India.

According to details, the prime minister met Nawaz at Jati Umra. On this occasion, matters related to national security were also discussed.

Prominent among those present during the meeting were Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.

Sources said the rapidly intensifying Indo-Pak tensions and key issues related to national security remained at the centre of discussion.

The leadership reportedly reviewed the overall security situation and emphasized unity and coordinated strategy in the face of external threats.

Nawaz Sharif congratulated the nation over successful test of Abdali ballistic missile.

Shahbaz Sharif briefed his elder brother regarding emergency situation in view of India and Pakistan war and the country defence measures.

He also apprised the PML-N president about decisions of special corps commanders conference and National Security Committee.

Nawaz Sharif declared China, Turkey and Azerbaijan unwavering support to Pakistan a game changer for the region.

He said that India’s terrorism has exposed after staging the Pahalgam drama while he said that India is not able to hide its face.
