LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has congratulated and prayed for the success of women who have participated in the newly launched “SEHR” (Skill Enhancement through Home Reach) initiative.
In a statement today, she highlighted that the SEHR initiative aims to create better opportunities for women’s development and economic independence. She emphasized that the program is designed to provide vocational training directly at women’s doorsteps, fostering gender equality and encouraging more women to join the skilled labor market.
The Chief Minister explained that the program will offer skill-based training tailored to market demands, accessible to women across Punjab—from remote areas to semi-urban and urban centers.
The government has allocated over 970 million rupees for the initiative, which will see 5,365 women receiving training in sectors such as beautification, hospitality, and digital technology. The program aims to empower women economically and promote their active participation in the workforce, ultimately contributing to the province’s development.
