ISLAMABAD: Adviser to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah has said the government is re-filing a review petition against the Supreme Court’s decision regarding the transfer of PTI founder Imran Khan to a hospital, maintaining that the relief granted was not in accordance with the law.
The government has challenged the order directing Khan’s transfer to a private hospital, arguing that prisoner treatment and transfers are governed by established legal procedures.
Speaking to reporters outside Parliament House, Rana Sanaullah said the government would fully implement whatever decision emerges from the review proceedings.
He said PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif was shifted to Lahore’s Services Hospital and later travelled abroad for medical treatment after doctors issued their assessment.
Rana Sanaullah also said the government had invited the opposition for dialogue and was now awaiting its response.
