RAWALPINDI: Seven Indian soldiers were killed in retaliation by Pakistan Army on Tuesday, ISPR reported.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Seven Indian soldiers were killed and 19 others were injured in retaliation by Pakistan security forces across the Line of Control (LoC).

“Indian forces targeted Khoyiratta sector of LOC which resulted into death of 18-year-old Atiq while three women injured,” reads a statement.

Earlier today, three Pakistan Army personnel were martyred and one other was injured due to unprovoked firing by Indian forces along the Line of Control (LoC).

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the cross-border shelling occurred at Rukh Chakri and Balakot sector.

“Three soldiers Subedar Muhammad Riaz, Havaldar Azizullah and Sepoy Shahid embraced at Rukh Chakri and Balakot sector,” said ISPR in a statement.

“Pakistani forces responded to Indian firing befittingly and there are reports of casualties of the Indian soldiers,” it concluded.

It must be noted that tensions between both countries have been running high in the wake of a February, 14 Pulwama attack, which killed more than 40 paramilitary troops.
