KARACHI: The 11th death anniversary of Air Commodore Muhammad Mehmood Alam, the hero of the 1965 war, is being celebrated today
As per Inter Services Public Relation (ISPR), Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee and Services Chiefs Air Commodore paid homage to Mehmood Alam (deceased). Air Commodore MM Alam accomplished the feat of shooting down five Indian Air Force jets in less than a minute during the 7th September 1965 war. Air Commodore MM Alam was awarded the Star of Jarat for his outstanding performance. MM Alam passed away on March 18, 2013 in Karachi after prolonged illness
