WEB DESK: America wish to cooperate with Pakistan to deal with Houthi attacks in Yemen.
Margaret MacLeod, the Urdu Spokesperson of the US Department of State, while talking to media, said that the Pakistan Navy is an effective member of the International Combined Maritime Force.
McLeod said that the strategy against the Houthis is not aggressive, the United States has declared the attack on the Houthis’ positions as defensive, and the trade of the entire region is being affected by the attacks of the Houthis.
She further said that they want to save all the countries of the region including Israel from food shortage, they are conducting operations against the Yemeni group to secure the movement of ships, the new task force of the United States and the United Kingdom to all the countries of the region including Pakistan. Support should be given to the “Prosperity Guard Operation”
Margaret McLeod said that Iran is providing the Houthis with weapons and information about Israeli ships, the policies of the Iranian government are causing problems for the common Iranian people
