WASHINGTON: Bilawal Bhutto Zardari participated in the National Prayer Breakfast hosted by US President Donald Trump.
Prayer breakfast ceremony was held in Washington, starting at 7:00 AM and concluding around 2:00 PM local time. It attracted distinguished guests from across the globe.
Bilawal addresses at National Prayer Breakfast, he emphasized the crucial role of religion in fostering unity as opposed to division. The event brought together leaders from various faiths to promote understanding and collaboration.
He said, “I am not a Foreign Minister right now, all my meetings are of a personal nature.”
During his speech he said, importance of interfaith dialogue, stating, “We must see religion as a source of unity rather than a tool for division. Such interfaith programs play a vital role in protecting our societies from fragmentation and discord.”
Bilawal Bhutto attended US President Donald Trump’s Prayer Breakfast when his father and Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari met his counterpart in China, Xi Jinping, in the Great Hall and said, “We are allies of China first, then of anyone else.”
Notably, two of Pakistan’s key political figures were engaging with leaders of two global powers around the same time. Despite not holding a government position, Bilawal’s presence at the event highlighted his active role on the diplomatic front. He arrived U.S. to attend the gathering.
