LAHORE: A delegation of Chinese traders, headed by Yang Wai, Deputy Mayor of Loudi City in Hunan Province, visited Lahore on Thursday to meet with Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, former Prime Minister and President of PML-Q.
The discussion focused on enhancing bilateral relations and boosting economic cooperation between Pakistan and China.
During the meeting, Chaudhry Shujaat emphasized the strong and enduring friendship between the two nations. He stated, “China has always been a loyal and reliable partner for Pakistan. Whether facing war, natural disasters, or other crises, China has consistently supported us.” He also highlighted that Pakistan was among the first countries to recognize China diplomatically.
The PML-Q leader expressed optimism that Pakistan could emulate China’s development model for progress and growth.
Yang Wai praised Chaudhry Shujaat’s pivotal role in strengthening the economic bonds between the two countries. He conveyed hope that Pak-China relations would continue to deepen in the coming years.
