QUETTA: Chief Minister Baluchistan Sarfraz Bugti has stated that the Indian agency RAW facilitated an alliance between Tehrik-e- Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) terrorist groups. Ideologically distinct, these groups are now operating together under India’s patronage.
He emphasized that the terrorists behind the attack on Jaffer Express are not disgruntled Baloch, but terrorists who aim to destabilize Pakistan. He clarified that such attacks have no place in Baloch traditions and those responsible should not be referred to as Baloch.
The Chief Minister also remarked that Afghanistan is not fulfilling its promises and has become a proxy against Pakistan. He stated that there is concrete evidence to support the claim that terrorism planning is taking place in Afghanistan. He further mentioned that terrorists, including commanders, have been released from prisons in Afghanistan. He concluded by affirming that Pakistan’s security forces possess the capability to eliminate these terrorists.
Stressing the need for dialogue to address the issues of terrorism-hit Baluchistan, Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti on Friday said that those up in arms against the state didn’t want to come to the negotiating table.
His remarks came days after the deadly attack on the Jaffar Express that resulted in the martyrdom of 26 train passengers, including 18 security personnel from the army and the FC. 33 terrorists were also killed by the security forces during the clearance operation in Baluchistan’s Bolan district.
