PESHAWAR: The Peshawar district administration announced on Saturday the enforcement of Section 144 around Bacha Khan Airport for a duration of two months, effective immediately.
This measure is intended to strengthen security and ensure the safety of the airport area.
According to the official notification, activities such as aerial firing, pigeon shooting, and kite flying are now strictly prohibited in the vicinity of the airport.
The ban also extends to the use of drones, high-powered lasers, and beam lights, all of which pose potential security threats.
Authorities have issued a warning that any violations of the Section 144 restrictions will be addressed according to legal procedures. Security personnel have been directed to enforce the measures rigorously to prevent any incidents that might jeopardize airport safety or public security.
The district administration highlighted that these temporary restrictions are precautionary steps aimed at maintaining smooth airport operations and ensuring heightened vigilance in this sensitive zone.
