WEB DESK: Aatif Rana, CEO of Lahore Qalandars, a franchise of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), visited the U.S. Embassy alongside the PSL trophy.
The visit was part of a trophy tour celebrating Lahore Qalandars’ recent victory in the league. During the visit, Rana met with Chargé d’Affaires Natalie A. Baker.
The meeting was held in a spirit of goodwill, attended by representatives of Lahore Qalandars, members of the U.S. Embassy cricket team, fans, and community members.
During the interaction, Aatif Rana presented Natalie Baker with a signed Lahore Qalandars T-shirt as a memorable keepsake.
Expressing her appreciation, Baker shared her experience of watching live cricket at Qaddafi Stadium, describing it as “a wonderful experience” and noting the vibrant atmosphere created by passionate fans.
While she grew up immersed in baseball in the United States, she acknowledged the impressive fervor and excitement cricket commands globally. Baker also highlighted the potential for both sports to foster international connections, especially as they become part of the Olympic program.
