ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan has successfully launched its new e-filing platform across all its regional registries, as confirmed by an official announcement.
The digital system is now operational at the main court in Islamabad, along with branches in Lahore, Peshawar, Karachi, and Quetta. Through this system,petitions, memoranda, judgments, and orders will be accessible online, streamlining the case management process.As part of the new initiative, litigants will receive case updates and notifications via email, enhancing communication efficiency. The move aims to cut down on paperwork,reduce processing times, and lower expenses associated with traditional filing methods.
The court has made e-filing registration compulsory for all legal practitioners. To facilitate this transition, the Bar Councils have been asked to provide lawyers’ contact details, including mobile numbers and email addresses.
Additionally, government departments have been instructed to designate focal persons to support and coordinate the e-filing process. A dedicated helpline has also been established to promote awareness and assist users with any issues related to e-filing.
