Following his appointment, Consul General Schlesie began engaging with key government and business figures in Sindh to further strengthen bilateral relations between Pakistan and Germany.Consul General Thomas E. Schlesie met with Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and Governor Muhammad Kamran Khan Tessori, during which discussions centered on areas of mutual interest and cooperation.
He also held meetings with representatives of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) to explore opportunities for enhancing trade relations between Pakistan and Germany.Thomas Eberhard Schlesie is an experienced diplomat with extensive expertise in international relations. Prior to his posting in Karachi, he served as the German Consul General in Toronto, Canada, and as the German Ambassador to the Republic of Croatia.
He has also held various positions within the German Foreign Ministry, including heading departments related to visa law and administrative justice.Schlesie holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration, is a legal expert, and has completed legal internships in Coblenz, Spier, and Jakarta.
