Pakistan asks Afghanistan to take action against terrorist groups on its soil.

ISLAMABAD: The Foreign Office reported that a high-level delegation, led by Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, has reached Doha to engage in discussions with representatives of the Afghan Taliban.

The negotiations aim to tackle cross-border terrorism and strengthen bilateral security cooperation.

Pakistan has acknowledged Qatar’s mediation efforts, describing the talks as a significant move towards achieving regional peace and stability.

The Foreign Office emphasized that Pakistan seeks a peaceful resolution and does not desire any form of conflict, highlighting the nation’s commitment to lasting peace in the region.

Additionally, it was noted that the Afghan Taliban should address Pakistan’s security concerns while honoring their international obligations.
