ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has officially announced a 1.97% hike in liquefied natural gas (LNG) rates for November, marking the third consecutive monthly increase.
As per the latest notification, LNG prices on the Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) network have been raised by $0.22 per MMBTU, now standing at $11.45 per MMBTU. Meanwhile, on the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) system, prices have increased by $0.17 per MMBTU, reaching $12.40 per MMBTU.
This adjustment continues a trend of steady price hikes, with OGRA previously increasing LNG rates by 2% for October and 2.63% for September, driven by rising global market prices.
The ongoing increases are likely to add further financial pressure on consumers, especially as winter demand surges and import costs stay high.
