BHIMBER: In a shocking and tragic development, the remains of three children suspected to have been murdered with acid were discovered in the Bhimber district of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) on Wednesday.
Sources from the police revealed that the mother of the victims had reportedly been involved in an extramarital affair with a man from Sarai Alamgir. In collaboration with her accomplice, identified as Babar, she is accused of attacking her three young children with acid before concealing their bodies in a nearby drain.
The victims included a 12-year-old boy and his two younger sisters. After the incident, the woman reportedly went to live with the man she had an affair with. The heinous crime was uncovered after the husband of the woman lodged a formal complaint with authorities.
Following the complaint, police at Saddar Police Station in Sarai Alamgir launched an investigation, registered a First Information Report (FIR), and conducted a raid resulting in the arrest of both suspects. During interrogation, law enforcement officials recovered the children’s bodies based on the information provided by the accused.
Police officials stated that the inquiry is progressing from multiple angles and assured that the offenders will face stringent legal action. The community and authorities have condemned the brutal act, emphasizing the need for swift justice.
