KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan experienced a decline on Wednesday, following a significant rise in the preceding week.
According to All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold per tola decreased by Rs1,200, settling at Rs466,762. Likewise, 10 grams of 24-karat gold saw a reduction of Rs1,028, reaching Rs400,173. The rate for 10 grams of 22-karat gold also dropped by Rs942 to stand at Rs366,838.
On the international front, the downward trend was mirrored as gold prices in the global bullion market dipped by $12, closing at $4,444 per ounce.
In contrast, silver prices in Pakistan remained unchanged. The rate of 24-karat silver per tola held steady at Rs8,361, while the price for 10 grams of silver retained its previous level at Rs7,168.
