LAHORE: The Lahore High Court on Monday reviewed a petition challenging the newly introduced Kite Flying Act 2025 but chose not to halt its implementation at this time.
The case was heard by Justice Malik Owais Khalid, who declined the petitioner’s plea for an immediate suspension of the act’s enforcement. The court emphasized that further discussions would be necessary before considering any interim relief.
During the proceedings, the court instructed the petitioner to include the Kite Flying Association as a respondent in the case. Following this directive, the association was added as a party to ensure that all key stakeholders are adequately represented in the matter.
After issuing these instructions, the court postponed further deliberations on the petition until January 16. All involved parties have been summoned to present their arguments during the next hearing, when the case will be examined in greater detail.
