Field Marshal Asim Munir visits National Police Academy, pays tribute to martyrs

ISLAMABAD: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir paid a visit to the National Police Academy in Islamabad, where he was warmly welcomed by the Commandant of the Academy. Joining the occasion were Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and the Minister of State for Interior.

Upon arrival, the Field Marshal was honored with a ceremonial guard of honor by a disciplined police contingent. As part of his visit, he laid a floral wreath at the Police Martyrs’ Memorial and offered prayers, honoring the selfless officers who gave their lives in the line of duty.

Field Marshal Munir commended the police force for their unwavering dedication and sacrifices in confronting terrorism, combating crime, and addressing internal security threats. He underlined the critical role of a professional, resilient, and citizen-oriented police force in upholding law and order across the nation.

He reiterated that safeguarding peace and ensuring the safety of citizens is the sacred responsibility of the police. The Field Marshal assured that Pakistan’s armed forces will continue to stand firmly beside the country’s valiant and esteemed police officers. During his visit, he was also briefed on the training initiatives at the Academy’s School for High Impact Elite Law Enforcement Development.
