WEB DESK: Kristalina Georgieva, the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), has praised the efforts of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s administration in implementing economic reforms.
During her address at the World Economic Forum in Davos, she expressed great respect for Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, highlighting his determination and commitment to completing projects once he sets his mind to them.
Ms. Georgieva shared that she has held numerous discussions with the Pakistani Prime Minister, focusing on meeting established targets and setting new development objectives. She praised the Pakistani government for approaching reform initiatives with genuine dedication.
She also observed that the tangible benefits of these reforms are now becoming evident. For the first time, she noted, fiscal discipline is clearly in sight, and the government is actively channeling resources to create meaningful improvements in the everyday lives of Pakistani citizens.
