SIALKOT: In a major update for Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 11, former Australian cricket captain Tim Paine has been appointed as the head coach of the league’s newest franchise, Sialkot Stallions.
The franchise officially announced the news on their social media platforms, expressing pride in welcoming Paine to the role with the message, “We are delighted to appoint Tim Paine as the head coach of Sialkot Stallions.”
At 41 years old, Paine brings a wealth of international experience. He played in 35 Test matches, 35 ODIs, and 12 T20 internationals for Australia and has previously captained the Australian Test team.
This marks Paine’s debut coaching stint in the PSL. Meanwhile, in PSL 11, the Hyderabad team, another newcomer to the league, appointed ex-Australian cricketer Jason Gillespie as their head coach.
The upcoming season of PSL is set to kick off on March 26, promising an exciting cricketing spectacle.
