KARACHI: Gold prices recorded a sharp rise in both domestic and international markets on Thursday, according to the Pakistan Sarafa Association.
The rate of 24-karat gold per tola climbed by Rs7,900, pushing it up to Rs523,962. Meanwhile, the price of 10 grams increased by Rs6,773, settling at Rs449,212.
In the international market, gold prices also surged, with the per-ounce rate gaining $79 to reach $5,012.
Market analysts noted that within just two days, gold has appreciated by Rs9,200 per tola in Pakistan, reflecting heightened volatility and strong global trends.
Silver prices followed the upward trajectory as well, rising by Rs358 per tola to stand at Rs8,404. Over the same two-day period, silver has gained Rs390 per tola in the local market.
