KARACHI: A massive fire that broke out at a superstore in the Clifton Karachi area near Zamzama Park remains uncontrolled even after nine hours, authorities said.
According to fire brigade officials, the blaze is concentrated in the basement of the building, where the store’s warehouse is located. The nature of the storage area has made firefighting efforts more challenging.
Officials stated that while the fire has been prevented from spreading to other parts of the building, teams are still working to fully extinguish the flames in the basement.
Around 15 fire tenders have been deployed at the site, with emergency crews continuing their operation to bring the situation under control.
Authorities are closely monitoring the incident, as concerns remain over the intensity of the fire and the potential risks associated with prolonged burning in a confined space.
