ISLAMABAD: The Punjab Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued a warning regarding the upcoming monsoon rainfall across the province, expected from tomorrow until August 21.

The forecast indicates that heavy showers are likely in cities such as Lahore, Rawalpindi, Murree, Galiyat, Jhelum, Chakwal, Talagang, Attock, Sialkot, Narowal, and Mandi Bahauddin. Additionally, rain is anticipated in Gujrat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, and Wazirabad, as confirmed by the PDMA spokesperson. 

Rainfall may also affect Kasur, Okara, Sheikhupura, Nankana Sahib, Sargodha, Khushab, Mianwali, and Noorpur Thal. On August 20 and 21, Faisalabad, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Layyah, Bhakkar, Sahiwal, Pakpattan, Bahawalnagar, Bahawalpur, and Dera Ghazi Khan could experience showers. 

The PDMA has issued a caution about potential urban flooding in low-lying areas of Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Sialkot, and Lahore due to intense rains. The warning also highlights the likelihood of landslides in Murree, Galiyat, and other hilly regions.
