ISLAMABAD: Eid Milad-ul-Nabi (PBUH) will be observed across Pakistan tomorrow with religious devotion and solemnity, with special prayers, processions and Seerat-un-Nabi gatherings planned across the country.
The day will begin with a 31-gun salute in the federal capital and 21-gun salutes in the provincial capitals. The occasion will also be observed as a public holiday.
After Fajr prayers, special supplications will be offered for the unity of the Muslim Ummah as well as peace, progress and prosperity in Pakistan.
A special Mehfil-e-Naat, organised by the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, will be held tonight at the Pakistan National Council of the Arts in Islamabad. Renowned Naat Khawans from different parts of the country will participate in the gathering.
The central event of the celebrations will be the International Seerat-un-Nabi Conference in Islamabad tomorrow, where scholars will shed light on different aspects of the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Milad processions will be organised in cities and towns nationwide. Ulema and Khateebs will address gatherings and emphasise the importance of following the Prophet’s (PBUH) teachings and Sunnah.
To mark the sacred occasion, streets, roads, mosques, public buildings and homes have been decorated with green flags, buntings and colourful lights, creating a festive atmosphere across the country.
