Gold prices slip slightly in Pakistan and international markets

KARACHI: Gold prices edged lower in both the international and domestic markets on Saturday, following a modest decline in the global rate.

In the international market, gold fell by $1 per ounce, settling at $4,377.

According to the latest rates released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 24-karat gold dropped by Rs100 per tola in Pakistan to Rs460,236.

The rate of 10 grams of gold also decreased by Rs85, reaching Rs394,578.

The latest movement came a day after gold prices had surged by Rs6,900 per tola, taking the domestic rate to Rs460,336.

Silver prices also moved lower, with the rate declining by Rs69 per tola to Rs7,100.
