LPG prices fall by Rs20 per kg in Karachi as second imported vessel reaches Port Qasim

KARACHI: Karachi has witnessed a Rs20 per kilogram reduction in liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) prices following the arrival of another imported shipment at Port Qasim, raising expectations of improved supplies in the domestic market.

The second vessel, named Etran, arrived from Oman carrying 1,745 metric tons of LPG and is scheduled to berth at Port Qasim.

According to available details, imported LPG shipments received at the port during the first week of November have reached a combined volume of 4,816 metric tons.

The fresh consignments are expected to ease supply constraints and improve LPG availability across the country.

In Karachi, the per-kilogram price of LPG has dropped from Rs540 to Rs520, providing some relief to consumers.

Further shipments through Port Qasim could help stabilise market supplies and create room for additional price reductions as imported gas reaches local distributors.
