KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan climbed sharply on Wednesday, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association. The price of 24-karat gold rose to Rs426,003 per tola, while 22-karat gold reached Rs365,257 per 10 grams after gaining Rs11,917.

International gold also advanced, rising by about $139 to nearly $4,035 an ounce.

Despite Wednesday’s increase, prices remain below their reported 2026 peak of around Rs541,000 per tola in March. Silver, meanwhile, pulled back after recent gains, with traders citing weaker global prices and fluctuations in industrial demand.
