KARACHI: Governor Sindh Imran Ismail and Chief minister Syed Murad Ali Shah visited Mazar-e-Quaid to pay tribute to the founder of the nation on Pakistan Day,.
The day dawned with 31-gun salute in federal capital Islamabad and 21-gun salute in Karachi and other provincial capital cities.
Governor Imran Ismail and Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah arrived at the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah to pay respects. They laid floral wreaths and offered Fateha.
During the visit, they also wrote remarks in the visitors book.
The nation is celebrating Pakistan Day with the armed forces showcasing their strength at the majestic military parade in Islamabad.
Pakistan Day marks the passing of the Lahore Resolution on March 23, 1940 when the All-India Muslim League demanded a separate homeland for the Muslims of the sub-continent.
Talking to media the Governor Sindh Imran Ismail said that if President ordered him to impose the governor rule then will follow the order.
Imran Ismail said that the president is his boss and he will do what he ordered him to do adding that no-confidence motion issue is on adding that it is not appropriate to always ask political questions when the CM and Governor are in single row. He suggested the media to end matter of the governor rule here.
He said that what dissidents did for him it is a treason adding that there should be legislation that then can’t even dare to do so.
On a query that if fight between political powers resulted into damage to democracy then who will be responsible for it? The governor Sindh hinted towards Chief Minister Sindh, to which the CM Sindh said that the democracy will not be hurt if the constitution is followed.
He claimed that no-trust motion will be successful adding that we wanted that the country be run according to the constitution. Murad Ali Shah said that when the no trust move presented against Benazir Bhutto then voting had held in a few days.
