KARACHI: Hearing of petition filed by K Electric against recent worst load shedding in Karachi in Sindh High Court was held on Friday.
The court sought report from K Electric. Notices were issued to Federal Minister for Energy, Sindh Government, K Electric and others.
Petitioner Mehmood Akhtar Naqvi said that electric is the primary responsibility of having the capacity to increase furnace and power generation.
If furnace oil and petrol are becoming more expensive then electricity rates are also being increased. The duration of load shedding in Karachi has reached 14 hours. Due to the extreme heat, the citizens have been suffering from mental anguish.
