Islamabad: Federal Minister for Climate Change, Sherry Rehman has directed all the respective institutions and administration to be alert during the upcoming monsoon rains.
The senior leader of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) said that from August 10 14 it is likely that heavy downpours will lash in the various parts of the country.
Sherry Rehman apprised that the federal caibinet has also announced a monsoon emergency adding that the rains system making on the Bay of Bengal is getting severe.
She said that there is need of adopting precautionary measures being taken by National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) and all provincial and district administration.
