Karachi: Chief Minister Sindh (CM) Syed Murad Ali Shah has said that as many as 300 people lost their lives and 100 others sustained injuries in the devastating rains and flood across the province.

Holding a presser, Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah said that more than 10 million people left homeless owing to heavy rains and catastrophe of flood in the province.
The CM Sindh apprised that emergency situation in Sindh is beyond the extent of 2010 adding that he said that rains lashed in the province more than 350 percent of normal downpours whole of the province is showing scene of a river. .

“The 2010 floods had inundated all human settlements on the right bank of River Indus and in 2011 flash floods flooded left bank of the river but this year situation is quite precarious as we have received 600% more rains …… #pakistan #PPP pic.twitter.com/PTjIEL5Kwy
Talking about the relief operations for the homeless people owing to rains and flood, he said that at least one million tents are needed as 1.5 million houses are completely damaged.
Regarding damages incurred due to torrential rains and flood, the CM said that the crops on more than 20 lakh acres of land have destroyed.
People living on the Riverine belt, Kachay areas of Sukkur, have left their houses and have started living along the embankments.

Murad Ali Shah has appealed the people of Sindh to help affected masses due to rains and flood according to their capacity.
He appealed to philanthropists as well and said, they should come over to help affected people.
He informed further that the the federal government has promised that they will not leave people of Sindh lonely in the difficult time.

He warned hoarders against hoarding, urged everyone not create law & order situation but help.
