Pakistan crush Afghanistan by 142 runs in first ODI

Humbantota: Pakistan crushed Afghanistan by 142 runs in a first ODI of three-match series on Tuesday at Humbantota.

Pakistan playing first had given a meagre total of 202 runs while Afghanistan whole team bowled out on such a small score of 59 runs.


The green shirts bowler Harris Rauf showed his outstanding performnece as he got five wickets in the match. While Shaheen Shah Afridi took 2 wickets, Naseem Shah and Shadab Khan got one wicket each.

Only two player from Afghanistan scored more than 10 runs which included Rehman Ullah 18, Azmat Ullah 16.

Earlier, Pakistan has handed a meagre score of 202 runs target to Afghanistan in ist one day international (ODI) of three-match series here in city of Sri Lanka, Hambantota on Tuesday.

Pakistan while palying first made 201 runs in 48th over.

Imam Ul Haq was top batsman with score of 61 while other who scored more than 20 runs are Shadab Khan, 36, Iftakhar Ahmed 30, Muhammad Rizwan 21.

On the other hand, captain bowled out at duck. While from Afghanistan side Mujeeb Ur Rehman took 3 wickets, Rashid Mahmood and Muhammad Nabi got two wickets each.
