Over 2,000 traffic personnel, including 10 deputy superintendents of police (DSPs) and 110 traffic inspectors, will be deployed, working under the supervision of key officers such as Superintendent of Police (SP) Sadar Malik Ikramullah, SP City Shahzad Khan, and SP Headquarters Sohail Fazil.
Moreover, around 20 forklifts will also be in use to address issues related to improper parking.
Captain (retd) Feroze also said that cricket enthusiasts will have the option to park their vehicles at Government College Gulberg, Liberty Parking, and LDA Plaza.
Notably, upon the recent arrival of Afghanistan’s national cricket team in Pakistan, stringent security measures were put in place from the Lahore Airport to the hotel, all managed under the watch of CTO Feroze.
He further specified that meticulous traffic plans have been established both from the hotel to Gaddafi Stadium and vice versa.
The roads will experience temporary closures during the arrival and departure of the teams, and these diversions will swiftly reopen for regular traffic,” he clarified.
