Islamabad: Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar said in a review meeting regarding the effects of decreasing price in petroleum should be conveyed to the common man and ensuring the reduction in the prices of commodities.
A review meeting was held today in Islamabad under the chairmanship of caretaker Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar regarding the impact of the reduction in the prices of petroleum products to the common man and ensuring the reduction in the prices of food and essential items. Supervisory Federal Minister Murtaza Solangi, Gohar Ejaz, Kausar Abdullah Malik, Sami Saeed, Muhammad Ali and relevant senior officials participated in the meeting . Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi, Justice (Retd) Maqbool Baqir, Azam Khan, Chief Secretaries of the four provinces and relevant senior officials participated in the meeting through video link .
Decimals of the reduction in inflation ratio were presented. The meeting through video link regarding the reduction in prices of various essential items including dry ration, grains, flour, sugar, ghee and oil , vegetables and fruits, meat etc. The meeting was informed that price magistrates in all provinces, district level are active to convey the benefits of reduction in petroleum products to the common man. its decided in meeting that hoarders and illegal profiteers should be dealt with iron hands. No discount should be given to smuggling and electricity thieves.
