Islamabad: The President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi condemned the Israeli atrocities, expressed heartfelt sympathy and grief on behalf of the Pakistani people and the government for the atrocities inflicted on innocent people by Israel
President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi said that “the situation in Gaza is very painful. The entire Pakistani nation is saddened by the brutality and terrorism of the Israeli security forces” On the other hand the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas thanked Pakistan for supporting Palestine and sending humanitarian aid.
President Arif Alvi said that thousands of Palestinians, including women, children, health workers, journalists and UN aid workers, were killed as a result of the barbaric measures. The current situation in Gaza is a reaction to Israel’s decades of racial discrimination and unjust policies. President Arif Alvi regretted the lack of action by the international community to stop Israel’s murderous campaign against the people of Gaza. The President said that Pakistan will continue to support Palestine for the solution of the Palestinian issue in accordance with the relevant resolutions of the United Nations Security Council.
The President said that the international community should take measures to open a humanitarian corridor to Gaza on the basis of immediate ceasefire and humanitarian aid.He said “If the two-state solution is not acceptable to Israel, then the one-state solution remains the only option”. Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said that ” Israel is committing genocide in Gaza”. The Palestinian President demanded that Israel stop fighting on Palestinian land.
